ComeOn Group joins battle for Ontario market share following regulatory approval

ComeOn will enter the market with its flagship ‘ComeOn!’ brand, with an intention to deliver “a best-in-class casino experience” for customers, the firm said.
The group has also announced that it will launch its latest product innovation, WeSpin, to the Ontario market, which it said will offer a unique and differentiated experience for players.
WeSpin offers players the opportunity to add social elements to the online slot gameplay experience, by buying into live streamed sessions led by casino streamers and influencers.
“With Ontario regulating, we are delighted to have been granted a licence in one of the largest regulated states in North America,” said Juergen Reutter, CEO at ComeOn Group.“ComeOn! has been one of our flagship brands for more than 12 years and is powered by our proprietary iGaming platform we keep innovating on to provide an exciting and safe player experience to our customers.
“We will bring WeSpin and other casino innovations to the market as we have done in so many locally regulated markets before. To add, this licence process has showcased once more the strength of our teams coming together to make this happen in a timely fashion.”Ontario’s legal iGaming market currently boasts more than 10 live North American and international licensees, with Toronto-based theScore Bet accounting for the largest number of app downloads in the market’s first three weeks, at 33%, according to Morgan Stanley.
Bet365 is currently the province’s next most popular brand by number of downloads, accounting for 26% of total.
This demonstrates the competitive nature of the market, after theScore accounted for 65% of downloads on the market’s opening day before other operators, including bet365, FanDuel and BetMGM began to increase their market share over time.
