Patrick Jonker has been recruited as the new CEO of Blixx Gaming, an online casino operator that is part of the HappyHour.io portfolio.

With more than nine years of experience in the iGaming industry, Jonker is expected to lead Blixx Gaming’s expansion into new markets while focusing on customer experience and commercial aims.

Jonker brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously held leadership positions at several prominent iGaming companies.

His most recent position was as CEO of Hero Gaming, but he left the role after just 10 months in November 2022 amid cost-cutting measures.

Prior to that, Jonker served as CEO of Mr Green from March 2019 to October 2021, and as managing director of Betsson from October 2014 to March 2019.

“The brands that Blixx Gaming operates have seen continued profitable growth and the business is now poised for rapid development with an experienced CEO like Patrick at the helm.”

“I’m thrilled to join Blixx Gaming and work alongside its talented team,” said Jonker.

“I look forward to continuing the company’s success and contributing my experience to lead it into the next phase of growth,” he added.

Robin Reed, managing partner of HappyHour.io and a shareholder in Blixx Gaming, expressed his confidence in Jonker’s appointment:

“The brands that Blixx Gaming operates have seen continued profitable growth and the business is now poised for rapid development with an experienced CEO like Patrick at the helm.

“With proven leadership across tier-1 online gaming brands and a strong focus on commercial success, Patrick brings the drive and ability to deliver great things for Blixx.

“We are excited about the future of this business,” he added.

Blixx Gaming is hoping to differentiate from other online casino brands through streamlined open banking and a superior customer experience.

Happyhour.io currently has 12 companies in its portfolio with over €130m assets under management.
