Former Ladbrokes financial controller becomes Future Anthem’s first-ever CFO

AI personalisation provider Future Anthem has hired Laura Bird as its first-ever chief financial officer (CFO).
In her new role, Bird will be responsible for the company’s financial planning and will help decide on investment strategies alongside CEO Leigh Nissim.
Bird boasts more than 15 years of experience and arrives at the company from London-listed software specialist Access Intelligence, where she worked as a finance director.She also has extensive industry experience, having spent time with both Ladbrokes and Gaming Realms as a financial controller.
She began her career at BDO and has since worked for Ocado, NBC Universal and Tau Marketing Services, among others.

Future Anthem has grown its workforce by 30% over the last 12 months, including the appointment of Emma Ferguson as head of people and Ian Tibot as CPO.

Future Anthem this summer closed a Series A round to attract further investment in product development and staff, as well as expansion into the US market.
In October, former Churchill Downs executive Matt Nichols was recruited to the newly created position of general manager of the Americas, for example.
