Robin Reed’s LiveSpins business has appointed ex-Entain and Betsson iGaming executive Yana Tsyganova as its new chief operations officer (COO).

The social casino start-up, which officially launched at iGaming Next: Valletta ’21 in October, is in the process of assembling a heavy-hitting C-level team following the arrival of Michael Pedersen as CCO earlier in December.

Tsyganova has worked in iGaming for more than a decade, starting with a five-year stint at Entain (then GVC) that culminated in her being made casino product development manager.

In 2016, she joined Betsson Group as head of gaming before becoming the Malta-based operator’s managing director in 2018.

Her most recent role was with casino games provider High 5 Games as VP of operations.

At LiveSpins, Tsyganova will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and providing the best experience for players, operators, streamers and game studios.

The proprietary LiveSpins platform allows players to view their favourite streamers and bet behind their play, effectively creating a group bet and shared social casino experience.

Tsyganova said: “LiveSpins will revolutionise the online gambling space by bringing shared socially-charged experiences to the market for the first time and I am honoured to be given the opportunity to be a part of what will undoubtedly be one of the industry’s success stories.

“I truly believe that LiveSpins will become a completely new category of gaming in the online casino space and that the simplicity of the bet-behind mechanic combined with the unrivalled levels of engagement offered by live streaming will drive significant value for players, studios and operators,” she added.
