Florida-based gambling compliance consultancy Odds On Compliance has recruited a president to its newly created European Division.

Former Lady Luck chief legal and compliance officer Cheryl Jones will lead the new segment after the firm announced its latest international expansion.

In her new role, Jones will be tasked with leading Odds On’s expansion in European markets using her many years’ experience across the legal and gambling industries.

Most recently, Jones was chief legal and compliance officer for online casino supplier LL Lucky Games AB, having previously occupied the same role at industry supplier g.games.

Prior to those roles, Jones spent around a year and a half with Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) as manager of technical compliance for EMEA, and then as manager of QA and technical compliance.

She was also head of legal and regulatory affairs for GLI UK, where she was tasked with developing and implementing the firm’s legal and regulatory compliance team.

Odds On Compliance European president Cheryl Jones: “Odds On Compliance has been a fixture in regulatory compliance in the US. I am excited to lead this European team in bringing their expertise and technology to our clients in Europe.”

Odds On pointed out that Jones was named one of 2022’s Most Influential Women in Gaming by online casino affiliate Slot Gods.

In addition to her previous roles, Jones has undertaken work with international regulatory bodies, offering guidance on responsible gambling, contributing to the gambling industry’s regulatory policies and responding to regulatory and technical consultations globally, Odds On added.

“The European expansion of Odds On Compliance is an exciting moment in the company’s history,” said Odds On Compliance co-founder and CEO Eric Frank.

“Cheryl’s experience, determination, and leadership will strengthen our position as the global leader in the compliance space. Cheryl’s commitment to leveraging technology and innovation to improve compliance makes her a great fit in the Odds On Compliance family.”

Jones herself added: “Odds On Compliance has been a fixture in regulatory compliance in the US. I am excited to lead this European team in bringing their expertise and technology to our clients in Europe.”
