Betting and gaming platform provider Sportingtech has made a strategic addition to its leadership team and appointed Michael Jack as CTO.

With more than 15 years of industry experience, Jack brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.

His most recent position was CTO at Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), where he served from June 2022 to August 2023.

Jack initially joined GiG in November 2019 as director of architecture, later assuming the role of director of engineering in May 2021.

Before his tenure at GiG, he held senior positions at Light & Wonder, NYX Gaming Group and OpenBet.

Sportingbet said Jack is widely recognised for his ability to successfully execute large-scale projects and optimise operational teams, fostering efficiency and collaboration within the workplace.

As CTO of Sportingtech, Jack is expected to leverage his extensive background in gaming and technology to enhance the company’s technological capabilities.

His primary objectives include positioning Sportingtech as a leader in emerging markets, with a particular focus on Brazil and the wider Latam region.

Sportingtech’s sportsbook offers a selection of over 65 sports, with more than 1,000 betting markets and over 600,000 live events annually. The platform processes more than 1 billion bets each month.

The company’s casino portfolio includes more than 10,000 games, spanning slots, table games, live games, poker, and live bingo, sourced from over 100 different design studios.
