Industry trade show ICE London is set to move to a new venue in Barcelona from 2025.
According to an email from event organiser Clarion Gaming, shared with previous visitors to the exhibition, ICE and its sister show iGB Affiliate will move to the Fira Barcelona Gran Via after the 2024 edition, which will continue to be held at their existing venue, ExCeL London.
The venue change also brings a change of date with it. Traditionally taking place around the first week of February, ICE and iGB Affiliate 2025 will now take place between 20 and 22 January.
Clarion said the decision had been taken in collaboration with its customers, after discussions began in 2021 around where the show could be moved to.
Both visitors and exhibitors were consulted, Clarion said, before it concluded that Barcelona was the best choice of city for the show’s new home.
Further details will be made available later this summer, the organiser added, with monthly updates on the relocation of the events expected from September.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic, ICE London has suffered several difficulties, including the withdrawal of several major exhibitors in its 2022 edition.
Other challenges faced by the event have included increased difficulties in bringing products and people into the UK following the country’s exit from the European Union.
