Caesars Entertainment has appointed American actor Vince Vaughn as the face of its iGaming and online casino platform.

Starring in a new role as “Prince Vaughn”, the Hollywood hotshot will appear in TV marketing campaigns, online advertising and social media promotions.

Prince Vaughn – also known as the Sultan of Slots and the Ruler of Roulette – has made his Caesars debut in a star-studded short named “Full Caesar”.

In the ad, the Wedding Crashers lead sports a golden dinner jacket and stars alongside Caesars Sportsbook ambassador and comedian JB Smoove.

“Working with Caesars is special for me,” said Vaughn. “With my long history of love for Las Vegas and gaming, I am excited to be part of the royal family with Caesar and Cleo.”

Vaughn will highlight the Caesars Sportsbook & Casino app’s integration with the Caesars Rewards loyalty programme with a focus on slots, roulette and blackjack.

Caesars Sportsbook operates the largest number of retail sportsbooks across the US and incentivises sports bettors and casino players with every wager through Caesars Rewards.

The Break-Up star Vaughn has history with Caesars, having previously promoted the operator’s World Series of Poker (WSOP) tournaments.

“Vince Vaughn is the ideal Prince of our iCasino brand,” said Caesars Digital CMO Sharon Otterman. “Prince Vaughn represents the entertainment and experience that our customers have with our app.”

Caesars currently has a presence in 27 states and North American jurisdictions, with its mobile and online offerings available in 19. The operator’s iGaming offering is live in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Sports betting industry investor and Acies Investments co-founding partner Chris Grove described the hire of Vaughn as a “smart move” for Caesars.

In a LinkedIn post, Grove wrote: “There’s a certain ironic tension here between Vaughn’s quote and the fact that the platforms he now reps are not *actually* available in Las Vegas.

“That (admittedly minor) detail to the side, this is my favourite celebrity US online betting spokesperson deal to date, and I’m struggling to think of another US operator who has done this tier of deal for online casino specifically,” he added.
